How we intend to fund this site
Gravis Labs is free to use and has no subscription. We intend to fund it with display advertising served by a third-party advertising network. We may in future explore other funding, and we will disclose any such arrangement on this page.
Rules we hold ourselves to
These are constraints on our own product, not legal boilerplate:
- Every advertisement is labeled “Advertisement” in visible text above the unit. A reader should never have to work out whether something is an ad.
- No advertisement is placed where it could be mistaken for a calculator result, a health recommendation, a call to action, or site navigation.
- No advertisement sits adjacent to a calculate button or a result card in a way that could invite a misdirected click.
- Advertising does not determine what we write. No advertiser sees content before publication, and no advertiser can influence a health explanation or a threshold.
- Ad units are constrained on mobile so they cannot dominate a small viewport, and the sidebar unit is not served below desktop width at all.
- Space for an ad is reserved in the layout, so enabling ads does not shift content.
Advertising and your data
Advertising cookies are set only where you have agreed to them. The health values you enter into a calculator are never available to an advertising network — they never leave your browser, so there is nothing to share. We do not build advertising profiles from health measurements.
You can review your choices on the privacy settings page, and read more in our privacy policy.
No affiliate arrangements
We do not currently have affiliate relationships, sponsored content, or paid product placements. If that changes, the arrangement will be disclosed here and clearly labeled on any page it affects.
